The Bloody Tree (The Dark Bloody Tree)

Punishment, pain, eyes weeping,
Suffering, wounds, my people sleeping.

Black bodies hung and blowing in the cool breeze,
On a monument called the bloody tree.

Trouble all around like a chipping mountain,
My people blood pouring like a human fountain.

Tears rolling down cheeks from everywhere and everyone,
Some are wondering since the separation of birth if that was their daughter or son.

Total sadness, but still waiting to be free,
From a horrible past around the bloody tree.

Ropes hung around necks, love ones saying their last good byes,
Taking their last breath before the day even went by.

Backs being whipped for an example of a huge crowed,
Tears falling with silences, cries were burst out loud.

Blood flowing down bodies like a stream,
On a death bed called the bloody tree.

Prayers being said to the one and true God,
To deliver my people from a terrible bond.

Dreadful and long years, as painful as it can be,
My people were there when the history occurred under the old bloody tree.
